Prof. Paolo Báberi
Professor in Agronomy and Field Crops.
Prof. Báberi has extensive expertise in ecology and management of arable and horticultural cropping systems, research in low-input and organic farming, and functional biodiversity in agroecosystems. He is involved in several national and international projects that aim to select and test a variety of mixtures and composite crops populations and introduction of legume crops. He is the vice-president of Agroecology Europe and past president of the European Weed Research Society (EWRS). At SSSA, he is co-ordinator of Curriculum B (Functional Biodiversity in Agroecosystems) in the international PhD programme in Agrobiodiversity. He has published ca. 300 scientific papers and book chapters (h-index: 20).
